It's always a fun time of year around the shop when we get to put up our holiday decor and cue the Christmas tunes. Decorating for the holidays can be overwhelming, so we suggest focusing on just one area of the home to decorate at a time. Here our lead visual merchandiser and buyer, Karen, offers tips for decorating and styling bar carts for the holidays.

"Bar carts are a great place to switch up themes for holidays or special events without having to decorate the whole house," - Karen Shea Connell, Visual Merchandiser & Buyer

The Reclaimed Wood & Iron Entertaining Bar Cart offers plenty of drawers for storing everything from napkins and utensils to nut bowls and serving platters. Bonus: easy to wheel around and rearrange!

Light up elements, like a ornamental garland, add extra pizzaz and are a must for Christmas decorating!

When Karen styled this cart, she focused on including color, texture, varying heights and greenery.

This elegant oval bar cart doubles as a side table that looks right at home in between a pair of chairs. Perfect for a living room to accessorize with books and a lamp.

Add a sheepskin throw over your chair to add a designer's touch!

Karen styled the Reclaimed Wood & Iron Bar Cart for the Thanksgiving holiday, utilizing natural elements like pumpkins, gourds and corn to take advantage of the open basket storage.

City Home's bar carts are super versatile and can do a lot of different jobs around the house. Roll it outside for your next BBQ, use them to serve hors d'oeuvres, or set up as a dessert display, coffee bar or traditional cocktail mixing station. The options are endless!
