We just want to say a quick thank you to everyone who came out to visit us at the Portland Night Market this Friday and Saturday. We met so many people! First time visitors to Portland who came into town just for the Portland Night Market. Plenty of locals who are active in celebrating Portland based events. Even the more reclusive types who don’t go out to events like this often, ended up making an appearance. We also were thrilled to meet so many other vendors and fellow Portland based businesses.
Being that this was the first event of it’s kind, we weren’t sure what to expect. We didn’t know for sure how many people there would be or what kind of items we should showcase in our booth. Was this going to be a shopping event or more of a “get some samples and come see our store” kind of event? Turned out to be a bit of both. There were so many people, everyone was there for a different reason. We were told at one point that the line wrapped around the building and down almost five city blocks! WOW!

After only the first hour or so of the event we quickly realized we would need to rethink our space. With only a 12×12 foot space it’s hard to demonstrate what our 20,000 square feet showrooms have to offer. We ended up creating a small display with one of our stylish industrial mid-century modern style sofas and some reclaimed wood end tables. We also brought our collapsable metal shelves to display all our apothecary inspired decor. At the front we put up one of our authentic vintage hardwood folding tables and filled it all kinds of great small items: cast iron pigs, antlers, lion head door knobs, all-you-need-is-love arrow’s, and so much more. People really seemed to love our selection. We gave out so many business cards after telling people about the store. Everyone seemed really excited to come see what other kinds of stuff we offer.
Our booth was right next to our friends at Aurora Mills. Their booth looked amazing! They had this great big scaffolding with a huge wood sign with their name prominently displayed. They had a great looking setup. We were a little envious. Next time, we’re taking some pointers from them! Good job guys!

We’re not sure if or when the next Portland Night Market will be but we were happy to be apart of this one and we hope to be apart of the future events. We had a blast! We want to give a great big thank you to the Central Eastside Industrial Council and Emma Pelett for putting this together. The event turned out far better than we ever could have expected.
Thank you to everyone who came out to see us. We hope to see you at our two stores at 217 & 139 SE Taylor soon!
